A Guide to Bath, England

In need of a little getaway from London, some friends and I hopped in the car and headed to Bath on Saturday. Bath is a gorgeous treasure of a town that seems to have been dipped in honey because of the golden color of the limestone buildings. The town is home to Roman baths (shocking, I know!) dating back to the first century AD. It also happens to be the hometown of one Miss Jane Austen! We marveled at the Bath Abbey, toured the Roman baths, sprawled across the emerald Royal Crescent, and stumbled upon a stunning overlook of the city.

Three cheers for surprise hot air balloon appearances, bare feet on green grass (even if the weather is a bit chilly), discovering the perfect climbing tree, breaking Lent with a Millionaire's cheesecake, and getting lost at midnight in the English countryside. We love you, Bath!

Also, we took a slight detour en route to Bath to catch the free view of a sorta famous landmark. We saw Stonehenge – ten points for Gryffindor! And ten points for you if you can find Stonehenge in the photo below...
